About Cheshire photographers Amanda Dantuma and second shooter Mr D .
I’m Amanda, a wedding and portrait photographer based in Cheshire; but happy to travel beyond. My passion is for capturing my clients personality and passions either in a portrait or as a collection of beautiful wedding photos.
When capturing a wedding, I work either solo (sometimes with an assistant) or as a double act with my husband and second photographer Mr D. I love working with Mr D, he is great at capturing those natural candid photos in a journalistic style, as well as helping with the logistics of setting up equipment, co-ordinating guests and providing a sense of fun to make couples feel more relaxed. By working together it allows us to capture more aspects of your wedding day. It means that we can capture both the Bride and Groom getting ready in the morning and the ceremony from different angles. As well as more candid natural photos of the guests enjoying themselves at the reception all the way through to the First Dance.
Your wedding day will be one of the most precious days in your life. A day spent with all the people you love. A fleeting moment in time that you will want to savour every second of. Let me capture the memories of your day, so that you can relive them again and again.
My style is mix of artistic and creative for portraits and a photo journalistic style for those unexpected moments. Most importantly I like to seek inspiration from my clients, as I like their personality and passions to shine through in the images. I do this by really listening to my client’s story to find out what is important to them, so when I’m photographing your portrait or wedding I will capture it in a way that you will love.
Both Duco and I feel proud to have our images grace the pages of publications, such as; Your Ceremony Cheshire, Bride Magazine, County Brides and Wedding Ideas. I also feel privileged to work, as a preferred photographer, with of some of the most luxurious wedding venues in the North West; Arley Hall & Gardens, The Chester Grosvenor, Little Fox, Rowton Hall Hotel & Spa & Alcumlow Hall Farm.
If you have any questions, feel free to send them my way and if you would like to arrange a catch-up, just let me know.
Spread the Love .
We just adore dogs and when our two passions (wedding photography and dogs) come together its just amazing! So in the spirit of giving back we like to make a charity donation every month to the RSPCA and Guide dogs for the blind. Two wonderful charities which are close to our hearts.
Kind words .

I was fortunate enough to ask Amanda to photograph my wedding, it was one of the best decisions I made. I wanted a photographer who listened to what I wanted and did everything possible to achieve this, I'm delighted to say Amanda did exactly that. She understood me as a bride who have their own vision and she worked with me to realise this, but just as important she added idea's which enhanced this. Amanda was a pleasure to work with and it felt more of a friend taking pictures than a photographer. I'd recommend Amanda 100% for wedding or any other photography needs you made have - lovely, friendly, approachable and above all else highly talented!

Amanda is a lovely person to work with and a very talented photographer. We booked Amanda for our wedding and met her a few times prior to this. She was always easy to get in touch with, very friendly and made it easy for us to plan the photography around the big day. The photographs Amanda has taken are the best quality we have ever seen. They have come out beautifully and we could not be happier with the results. We would recommend Amanda Dantuma Photography to anyone and if we wanted a photographer for another event we would book Amanda straight away.

Thank you so much for the photos we are thrilled with them you have done such a good job capturing our day!
Our photographic style is very natural with a contemporary feel.
During a wedding we use a mixture of genres. Photo journalism for those key events throughout the day. A creative style for our newly-weds and group photographs. Macro photography to capture all those precious little details.
The balance of how we use these genres depends on what is important to you and how you would like to remember your day. That’s why we like to listen to your story, so that we can ultimately deliver a beautiful set of images. Hence the strapline LOOK BACK & SMILE
An unobtrusive photo journalist approach works best for those unexpected moments and key events throughout the wedding day, from the excitement of the bridesmaids getting ready, to the touching moments during the ceremony and the laughter at the speeches. There will be lots of unusual shots that you wouldn’t expect from traditional wedding photography giving you a very candid and honest record of your day.
The all important details
Every wedding is unique and reflects the personalities and style of the couple getting married. From the Bridal/Groom preparations through to the interior set-ups, we will be there to capture all those little details you have worked so hard on to make your day extra special. If you have a wedding theme and would like some ideas on how we can incorporate this into the photography, do get in touch, would love to hear more.
Large group photo
We recommend capturing a large group photo of everyone when all the guests are together so that it flows more smoothly and it is more difficult for guests to hide. Just after the confetti has been thrown is the ideal time. Since the large group photo can take some time to organise, more couples are now deciding to leave this shot out to allow more time for smaller family group photos. It’s your day, so the decision is yours.
Natural portraits for our newly weds
For our newlyweds we create natural portraits with a high-end polished feel. Images which look like they could grace the pages of a glossy magazine. To achieve these results, we take into consideration; texture, composition and lighting. We then look for opportunities to capture your personality. We capture this by gently directing our couples and when our couples interact with each other without realising it, we are there to capture those natural moments. If you love this style but feel uncomfortable in front of the camera it is worth looking into a pre-wedding photo shoot, which are designed to make you feel more comfortable. So many couples comment on how we put them at ease and are surprised at how natural our images look
Every couple has different ideas on how they would like to remember their day. That’s why when it comes to group photos it’s so important for me to understand what approach suits you best. There are so many different options to discuss. For example; Images can be captured throughout the day rather than in one session, or we could get creative and have fun with our group photos – this works particularly well with your bridal party, or you might prefer smaller more meaningful group photos so you can see everyone’s expressions more easily.
