01. How long have you been a Wedding Photographer?

About 8 years, maybe longer. Over the years Mr D and I have been fortunate to have captured many weddings and to have worked with some stunning venues. We are very proud to be the preferred supplier for some of the finest venues in Cheshire, Arley Hall & Gardens, The Chester Grosvenor, Rowton Hall and Alcumlow Hall Farm.

02. How would you describe your photography style?

Our photographic style is very natural with a contemporary feel. To add creativity to our images we are constantly looking at the lighting, texture, balance and most importantly, emotion. We also use prime lenses on a wide apertures to keep our images fresh and vibrant. They have been described as magazine and Instagram worthy, but without the cheese. We prefer to find the best locations and then direct our couples into natural poses. During a wedding we use a mixture of photographic genres - photo journalism for those key events throughout the day and a creative style for our newly-weds and group photographs. Please see our ABOUT page for more information.

03. How long does it take to get our images?

It can take up to 6 weeks during peak season; however, I know you'll be excited to see them. That's why we produce a taster collection which you are welcome to use on thank you cards and social media, within 2 weeks of your wedding day.

04. How do we book you?

Ideally, I like to meet all our couples in person, so that we can talk things over a nice cup of tea (or whatever you fancy). If this is not possible, feel free to contact me via telephone or email. To reserve the date I ask for a completed booking form and a 25% deposit.

05. Why should we choose you?

I have always been creative since a child and after leaving school I went onto study art and design at university, which included photography. After graduating, I went on to work as a Graphic Designer for Harrods as well as a London design agency. It was here, that I learnt an appreciation for detail. This is now ingrained within me so when I am capturing your wedding I will be considering all the details. As a designer, you find out what your client wants and then design to that brief. I approach wedding photography in the same way. It's not about me, it's about you and creating a set of images that you will treasure. That's why I take time to listen about all you're ideas, your family, your theme, your timings etc. Remember, I'm an ideas person, so you're welcome to pick my brain. Together we will create a timeline and plan to help your day flow smoothly, and that you ultimately have a beautiful set of images to treasure.

06. What kit do you use?

I'm a Nikon girl. It all started at age 8 with a Nikon Konica Pop, a birthday gift from my parents. Since then I have remained faithful to the brand and today use a Nikon D5 along with prime and zoom lenses. I love it!

07. Why did you become a Wedding Photographer?

About 8 years ago I was a Design/Campaign Manager leading a team of designers and copywriters. I missed being creative - so one day while looking at my parents wedding album, turning the tissues pages and seeing my parents young and in love. I decided that's what I wanted to be! Sadly my Dad was no longer with us, so looking at these photos meant such a lot to me personally. I though how wonderful it would be to do this for a living. Everything seemed to come together, my training at university, my passion for photography and my skills as a planner and organiser. Time flies and today I am privileged to have captured so many weddings at some of the most prestigious wedding venues in Cheshire.

08. Can we download images from the Online Gallery for free?

Yes, that's right. Our Online gallery is watermark free - so you are very welcome to share with family and friends. They will then have the option to download images for print and/or social media without paying a penny. It's all included in your wedding collection.

09. Do you do prints and albums?

Yes we have a gorgeous selection of Albums from both the UK and Italy. Everything is bespoke so I recommend booking an appointment so you can appreciate the quality and see the material and colour swatches.

10. Do you offer pre-wedding photo shoots?

A pre-wedding photo shoot is a great idea if you feel uncomfortable in front of the camera. As well as having some informal images to treasure. It also give us an opportunity to experiment with different styles, and to discover the best locations at your venue. For further details please check out our Pre-Wedding Photo Shoot gallery or drop me a line.

11. Do I need a second shooter?

It very much depends on your wedding and the type of coverage you would like. I generally capture weddings up to 100 daytime guests by myself, sometimes with an assistant. Wedding with over 100 daytime guests would usually need a second shooter - depending on the coverage they would like. Feel free to call and we can talk through any ideas.

12. We want to bring our dog with us, is this okay with you?

Yes! We adore dogs, so they are very welcome on both the pre-wedding and wedding day photo shoots! Just let me know so I can bring some doggie treats with me!

13. Do we need to feed you?

It's always nice to be offered a meal but we are more than happy to provide our own.

Yes! They are your images to enjoy - you are very welcome to share and print with family and friends. All I ask is that you don't use them for commercial purposes without checking with me first (we usually say yes). And don't forget the Online Gallery comes with a complimentary download. So Enjoy!

15. Do you have insurance?

Yes! We are covered for both public liability and professional indemnity.
